F1 Arcade Birmingham has launched as a premier, first-of-its-kind experiential venue, merging the thrill of Formula 1 racing with the elegance and luxury associated with the sport. Anamo Design Studio was briefed to create a distinctive environment that captures the high-tech energy and glamorous lifestyle of Formula 1. Located in the newly developed Paradise area, the venue’s design draws inspiration from its modern surroundings, with street-level views emphasising the venue’s dynamic and vibrant atmosphere.
Given full creative freedom, the design team drew inspiration from Formula 1 heritage, incorporating the iconic 'F' radius motif across the venue, from bar arches to washroom doors. Key features include the Octane bar with liquid metal and mirror cladding, and a suspended branded F1 car, dramatically lit to serve as a focal point.
The venue also features full-height wall dividers inspired by Formula 1 starting lights, providing stylish partitions without obstructing the expansive 1000sqm space. Anamo Design Studio’s involvement spanned from concept creation to construction, ensuring every detail aligned with the high-tech, glamorous essence of Formula 1.
